Corporate and Social Responsibility
Childwall Fiveways Garage has adopted its own corporate and social responsibility by becoming a policy-led organisation. This benefits our customers, our staff, the environment and charities in the UK and abroad.
Childwall Secondary School
Childwall Fiveways Garage has supported Childwall School with a two-year sponsorship through advertising. We advertised in a colour booklet sent to the parents of every child at the school, and offered discounts to parents of children attending the local school.
Ghana, Africa
In 2017, Childwall Fiveways Garage supported a local young woman, Roanne Young, who was volunteering to help build a library in Ghana. As well as supporting the library build, we let Roanne put a donation box on our reception to raise money for pens, paper and books. As a local business, we’re very proud to have supported Roanne, and we’re happy to help with any future charity projects she takes on.
Looking After the Environment
As a garage that produces waste that can be difficult to deal with, we wanted a robust recycling policy. We now work with recycling companies to recycle everything we can. Oil Monster recycles all of our oil, and all of our metal and tyres are recycled too. Paper, cardboard and packaging are collected by a reputable waste company and recycled.
Company Policies and Procedures
We’ve introduced a set of policies and procedures designed specifically for the motor industry, known as a “GAP Pack” (Garage Approved Policy Pack). It contains 28 policies covering everything from health and safety to recycling, fire awareness and first aid. Copies of specific policies are available on request.
