Gearbox & Clutch Garage Liverpool
Your clutch and gearbox aren’t needed for your engine to run, but they are needed to make your car move.
If either has failed, you need a clutch garage or a gearbox specialist. At Childwall Fiveways Auto Centre we handle all aspects of clutch and gearbox work. If your car runs but won’t drive, there’s a good chance one of these parts is the problem. Look out for these symptoms:
- Engine revs rise but the car doesn’t speed up: usually the clutch
- Strange noises when the clutch pedal is pressed: clutch
- Whining noise while driving: gearbox
- Car won’t go into gear: clutch or gearbox
What is a Gearbox Repair Centre?
Gearbox repair is a long-established and trusted way to save money. A gearbox repair centre doesn’t simply swap your gearbox for a new one. Their team strips down your old gearbox, finds the parts that have failed and replaces them. This is called refurbishing the gearbox.
We can help with gearbox refurbishment. We don’t refurbish gearboxes on site, but as an established clutch garage we work with some of the best refurbishment specialists in Liverpool. We’ll remove your gearbox, send it away to be refurbished and refit it to your car, so you benefit from our competitive labour rates and a guarantee on the work.
